The Skål House Pub

Whether you’re looking to enjoy a refreshing drink, a delicious meal, or just a cozy spot to relax with friends, The Skål House Pub has something for everyone — and depending on the night, that something might mean cold pints and pub burgers at dinner or dancing until 2am with a DJ. Poulsbo’s longtime nightlife anchor on Front Street has reopened under a new name and ownership, but it still fills the role it always has: the place to be when the sun goes down. The pub prides itself on craft burgers made with locally sourced ingredients paired with an extensive selection of craft beers — 12 rotating taps plus bottles, cans, cocktails, and wine. The kitchen keeps pub classics on the menu for dinner, while weekend nights shift the energy with live music and DJ sets that run late. Lively atmosphere and good music  make it Poulsbo’s best answer for anyone looking for a true nightlife experience without leaving the peninsula. Reservations accepted online for dinner; walk-ins welcome all night. Online ordering and DoorDash delivery also available. Check their Facebook page for upcoming DJ and live music nights.

Sauce Nouvelle Bistro

Sauce Nouvelle Bistro is where French and Mediterranean traditions meet modern culinary science — and it’s unlike anything else in Kitsap County. Australian native and molecular gastronomy chef Nicolas Ganea brings inventive flavors to the table, using precision techniques to transform ingredients into surprising textures, bold flavors, and creative presentations. The result is a refined yet approachable dining experience built around French-Mediterranean inspired small plates and entrees, each shaped by sous vide cooking, distillation, fermentation, and a genuine obsession with unlocking flavor. Craft cocktails, wine, and house-fermented drinks round out the menu, making it an equally strong destination for a leisurely dinner or a creative cocktail stop. Catering packages are available for birthdays, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and weddings. Online ordering via Toast for takeout; gift cards available. Open Wednesday–S

Preservation Natural Wines

Preservation Natural Wines is downtown Poulsbo’s destination for natural, organic, and additive-free wine. The shop curates an ever-rotating selection from small-batch producers around the world — including pét-nat, orange, and minimal-intervention wines — sourced from organically farmed grapes and made without commercial yeasts, additives, or preservatives. Stop into their cozy tasting room on Front Street to explore wines by the glass, or shop their full inventory online with options for curbside pickup, local delivery, or shipping to most states. Their dog-friendly patio is a welcoming spot to linger, and a natural wine club is available for those who want curated bottles delivered regularly. Note: the shop is 21+ only, and outside food and beverages are not permitted.

Poke Pop

Poke Pop invites you on a delicious journey to the heart of Hawaiian-Asian cuisine — fresh, flavorful poke bowls served fast-casual style at College Marketplace on Olhava Way. Established in 2017 and building on the success of locations in the Tacoma/Fircrest area and Gig Harbor, the Poulsbo outpost brings the same concept to Kitsap: vibrant, customizable bowls with sushi-grade fish, fresh vegetables, and house-made sauces. Build your own bowl from scratch, or choose a signature like the Classic Tuna, Spicy Salmon, or Unagi Poke Bowl. Cooked protein options — butterfly shrimp, spicy octopus, Japanese-marinated beef, and fried tofu — ensure there’s something for everyone. Round out your meal with a handmade Spam Musubi, house Miso Soup, or a Hawaiian Sun soda. DoorDash and Uber Eats delivery available. Open daily 11am–8pm.
