State 42 Wines is a passion project from husband and wife team Les and Gretchen Adams, crafting low-intervention wines sourced from 13 vineyards across 7 Washington AVAs. Their focus on organically and sustainably farmed fruit shows in every pour — and their cozy tasting room right on Front Street in downtown Poulsbo has grown into a genuine community gathering spot, known for its relaxed atmosphere, good music, and a loyal circle of wine lovers. Stop in for a flight of whites, reds, or a mixed selection, or grab a bottle to go. Snacks from Crimson Cove Smoked Specialties — cheese, smoked salmon, and mixed nuts — round out the experience. The tasting room is open Wednesday through Friday, and their wine club is open for new members.
