Dancing Brush Studio is a creative art studio featuring contemporary paint-it-yourself ceramics, fused glass, traditional clay handbuilding, and metal clay — and it’s been a Front Street fixture for over 20 years. Walk in, browse hundreds of bisque ware pieces ranging from mugs and bowls to tiles, flower pots, and dog dishes, pick one that speaks to you, and spend an hour or an afternoon glazing it exactly as you imagine. After you finish, the studio applies a clear overglaze and fires it in their kiln — your finished piece is ready for pickup about a week later. No artistic experience required: the staff is helpful and patient with beginners, happy to share paint techniques and styling tips without being overwhelming. The inventory rotates constantly, so there’s always something new to discover on repeat visits. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends and for groups — private parties, birthday celebrations, date nights, and family outings are all welcome. Can’t make it in?
