Beach Exploration

At Kitsap Memorial Park

Join Kitsap Beach Naturalists to explore and wonder at the rich and colorful sea life that is exposed during low tide. Beach explorations are open to the public, and naturalists will be on hand to share resources and knowledge with you. Tell your family and friends, and we will see you at the beach!

Pier Peer Sea Life Explorations

Join Kitsap Beach Naturalists and local experts as we shine a light onto winter’s dark waters and beaches to explore life that continues to flourish even after the rich summer plankton blooms have gone. Docks are always covered creatures that are normally only visible to divers, and yet more can be drawn to the surface by a bright light. The cover of winter’s darkness also protects sea life on our beaches are from drying out or being eaten when the tide has receded. Explore and wonder with us at these free evening events.
