Grab some friends and come ride one of our three different routes and then enjoy a drink and a free meal at our Brew Fest!\nThe tour starts and finishes in historic Poulsbo\, “Little Norway” at 9am\, and is held during the iconic VikingFest carnival and festival. The ride has three different lengths for all riding levels: the “Odin”: a 58-mile journey featuring nearly 4\,000ft of climbing. The “Thor”: a 30-mile ride with a few less hills for those looking to have a bit of fun with a little less challenge and the “Freyja”: a 18-mile relaxing ride where you can enjoy yourself without breaking too much of a sweat.\nThe Viking Tour is meant to be whatever you make of it. Do it for fun\, do it to challenge your personal best or do it to win! Whatever your intent\, you’ll be glad you came! We encourage professionals\, amateurs\, recreational riders\, clubs & cycling teams to participate. It’s time for all Vikings to trim your beards\, shave your legs and get ready to ride. We will be celebrating the beginning of spring\, the triumph of good over evil\, and the bonding of broken relationships.\nWhat do we do?\nWell\, that is up to you! We will have an outside roped off area for those that wish to partake in the festivities. Colorful powder can be puchased\, and this is where we enjoy the casting of all the colors of the rainbow in the heavens and adorning our bodies and clothing with the hues to bring levity to a normal Wednesday afternoon. We will have a Nepalese prayer wheel\, and you can choose to write your wishes\, prayers\, resolutions or just happy thoughts\, and cast them into the world.\nIsn’t it messy?\nYes! Be prepared to bring an extra set of clothes when you are done. Also\, most people wear white to show off their colors\, so think about what you want to wear\, and what you don’t mind not wearing again. Be careful to protect your eyes and your sensitive electronics. Disposable towels will be available if you need them. At 5:15pm\, Santa will lead a holiday procession from Poulsbo Parks and Recreation to the Liberty Bay Waterfront Park where he will officially light the tree at its new location downtown. Once the tree is lit\, Santa will be available for photographs thanks to P5 Photography. There will be live performances by Kitsap Children’s Musical Theatre and North Kitsap High School Choir to fill the air with holiday cheer. There will also be cookie decorating\, children’s crafts\, and a holiday scavenger hunt to celebrate the tree lighting.
