The ride has three different lengths for all riding levels: the “Odin”: a ~60-mile journey featuring over 4\,000ft of climbs. the “Thor”: a ~30-mile ride with a few less hills for those looking to have a bit of fun with a little less challenge and the “Freyja”: a ~15-mile relaxing ride where you can enjoy yourself without breaking too much of a sweat. \nThe Viking Tour is meant to be whatever you make of it. Do it for fun\, do it to challenge your personal best or do it to win! Whatever your intent\, you’ll be glad you came! SUMMARY:Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:On the second Saturday of May\, just set out your non-perishable food well before your letter carrier’s normal pick-up time. Note that he or she will be delivering and collecting mail as usual\, on top of collecting food donations\, so that pickup time could be slightly later than usual. \nIn past years\, the Poulsbo community has contributed over twenty thousand pounds of food to NK Fishline! This year\, we’re expecting even more. \nWe’re looking for volunteer drivers\, food receivers and sorters\, and everything in between! Come to volunteer as an individual or as a group\, this is a great event for a family\, team\, youth group\, or any other organization to help with. We need volunteers to drive or help set up as early as 9am\, and others to start receiving and sorting around noon. We will need help all afternoon until 6pm\, so sign up to volunteer for as long as you have available. Location will be in the Fishline parking lot (on Viking near James Lumber) on Saturday\, May 11th. \nHere are the details: \n*Drivers start out at 9am. \n*The unloading and sorting will begin around 12pm and will wrap up at 6pm. \n*This is a family-friendly event\, so bring those little helpers\, too! \n*If you’re able to join\, email your RSVP directly to volunteer@fishlinehelps.org. Our auction features original traditional and contemporary Native art as well as our unique cultural experience items such as a local archaeology tour\, an indigenous food cooking class or a canoe voyage around Agate Passage. \nThanks to the generosity of those who participated in our annual event in the past and are involved this year\, we are able to continue to strengthen the cultural resurgence of the Suquamish Tribal community as well as the friendships of our fellow non-profits\, neighbors\, and visitors. We will journey into the future by honoring the past and we guarantee a payback of a brighter future to share. \nThe Suquamish Foundation\, created in 2005\, is the non-profit arm of the Suquamish Tribe and is dedicated to supporting the culture\, education\, environment\, health and vitality of the Tribal community and its neighbors. We completed the inspiring Building for Cultural Resurgence capital campaign that built our Suquamish Museum\, Community House\, Early Learning Center\, Veteran’s Memorial\, Health and Fitness Center\, Community Ball Field and Community Dock.
